We got her today. Her name is Róisín Duibhe and she was one of the behavioral special needs kittens at the local shelter. (She was feral and not used to people.) She’s 13 weeks old and she has really bad anxiety so we’re taking it easy with her as far as affection goes. She’s just like her father. (Me) She’s not very friendly but she likes food so I bet we can bribe her into letting us touch her. I’ve looked up ways to socialize two cats and the reason we got a kitten was because they’re easier to introduce to other animals, so I’m just hoping that Bramble’s ready to be a big sister.
Her name means “little black rose” in Irish. My mother wanted to name her Puisín but I thought it was weird to name a cat “kitten” so I thought of a name that sounded similar. The image is a lot brighter than what I saw. She looks like a black blob with eyes in real life.
