Millennium Y-6: The Millennium company was formed after its founder, rocket enthusiast Dexter Winston, created the Y-6 rocket plane. Based heavily upon a Falstaffen Aviation A-5 bomber that he had discovered ditched in a nearby field, the plane was tested with Air Corps funding. During its first and only flight, the rocket motor exploded and the rear section of the aircraft was destroyed, though the pilot was able to escape unharmed. The Air Corps did not find it amusing and terminated all rocket plane programmes. Millennium XP-100: Designed as the fighter of the future, the outlandish XP-100 concept was killed by the failure of the Y-6. It would have been propelled by 4 rocket motors. The pilot would sit inside the fuselage and enter through a hatch in the floor, which could also be ejected for bailouts. The plane would have four machine guns in the nose and a large cannon that would be folded up inside the fuselage for more aerodynamics but could be extended outward for combat. Even before the failed test of the Y-6, the concept was showcased to the Air Corps, who were impressed and requested the production of 75 P-100s to replace the aging P-19s in service. Millennium XP-101: A model of the XP-100 deemed the folding cannon system would be too heavy for the craft and the XP-101 was designed as a more realistic design, featuring a cockpit situated in normal layout, two cannons mounted on the wings and a piston engine to supplement the four rocket motors. The redesign did not destroy the Air Corps' enthusiasm for the project and they cancelled the order for XP-100s in favor of XP-101s. This order was cancelled with the crash of the Y-6. Millennium XP-102: A harried attempt to win back the Air Corps contract, the XP-102 prototype was hastily built in just two weeks, using many components from pre-existing aircraft including a tail assembly from a P-11 biplane fighter and landing gear from a Navy SBM Osprey. The fuselage was from an unfinished XP-101 prototype and as such was the only part that was managed to be painted in the Air Corps green color scheme and roundels. The prototype was unveiled to a handful of Air Corps generals, who disapproved of the aircraft, calling it no more advanced than the existing P-19, a goal they had been trying to achieve in the first place. The prototype was flown anyway, and managed to reach top speeds faster than the P-19, but the pilot reported that the plane seemed "shaky and unstable" and he landed early for fear of it coming apart. The Air Corps did not give them a contract and the Millenium company went bankrupt and was absorbed by the Martini aircraft company. The XP-102 was sold to Bernd Campbell's cousin Harry Steiner, who modified it into a racing aircraft he called the Steiner Special. It won two air races before it crashed. Steiner was not hurt but the plane was destroyed beyond repair. Russman XA-30: Arnold Russman, a former designer for Fallstaffen Aviation, quit his job and formed the Russman Aeronautical Works, where he designed the XA-30. A child of the Alderus War, the XA-30 would've been a purpose-built anti-tank ground attack aircraft to counter Arnor Londonian(???) armor in a hypothetical invasion of FE. The plane was made mostly of wood, making it quite cheap to manufacture in large numbers. The plane had a defensive turret and was armed with five machine guns, four firing forward and one on a flexible mount. The prototype XA-30 was demonstrated to the Air Corps, but with the Alderus War at a close and a threat of invasion nonexistent, the plane was of no use to them and the program was cancelled. Russman XB-34 Terror Bird: A more sinister concept by Russman was the XB-34. It was designed to attack civilian targets, spreading fear and agony among a country's citizens. The plane would be armed with a total of four machine guns and two large cannons, which were fixed in a downward firing position to attack cars and buildings. Also, the plane would carry 1,500 pounds of bombs, most of which, Russman conceived, would be "slice shells", large canisters filled with shrapnel. And if that isn't awful enough, the plane would also carry a tank of poison gas which could be sprayed. Russman stated that the B-34s would fly in "kill groups" of 5 or 6 and that they would carry out a raid on Arnor Londo's capital city even after the armistice. The Air Corps called the design "terrifying and uncivilized" and the Russman company went out of business.
