Song featured: Carbon Based Lifeforms - Gryning Thank you to @HiRoachie for drawing the 'Berlina' saloon - Click on the car, use the space bar or use the arrow keys to try and understand what it was about the fourth generation Ires Sayo that made it so popular in the United Kingdom and its home market of Spain. - It was fairly easy to understand why the Ires Sayo was popular for a long time - it had a good image, was well built and was decently quick for its class. That formula stayed the same for the fourth generation model, launched in early 2007. Nobody expected it to be a great looking car or provide new levels of comfort for the B-segment, but what people did predict is that it would sell by the bucket-load. And it did; upon launch the 2007 Ires Sayo was the quickest selling new Ires since 1992 by over triple the amount of sales in the first 6 months. It's unclear as to what it was about the car which made it so popular - was it the very high build quality of the interior, the powerful engines or the modern (albeit plain) exterior design? It continued to sell well throughout the entire eight year production run, assisted by a minor facelift in 2012 with an updated front bumper, headlights and larger more distinctive grille. In 2024 you will still see lots of these around as daily transport for many, many people - and as for the TN and TN line trims, a tool to wrap around a pole in an industrial estate. There haven't been many common problems to speak of apart from some DCT failures, though that's usually the case of neglectful driving which is fairly common for the average Ires Sayo owner. - This is the first proper 'finished' street furniture car of mine - it took a long time and i'm glad to finally share it... the aim was to completely finish it 2 hours ago but i kept adding things and fixing things and making it as perfect as it can be until i notice something i missed 4 months in the future and it really annoys me....... Anyway there won't be any fancy new years projects this year sadly as I just haven't done much on scratch being busy with college and work and generally not having as much motivation as I did 10 years ago haha happy 2025, enjoy this incredibly dull car as a celebration.
