Context: I was originally planning to develop a game called “The Legends” (very original I know). So of course, I needed a protagonist. I wanted a very simple look to him, but also something that would fit into a larger art style. So first I drew a character that looked a little crazy in the head, so I decided to make them the nut job proffered instead, but still took elements of the design from them and put it into Cappy (Also yes he was also gonna be named Cappy). So I drew this guy up and just needed a name, and a secondary character. So I drew his buff friend who always hits arms and nothing else, Cap. However, I later decided to give the name Cap, later lengthened to Cappy, to the protagonist, therefore starting the journey of Cappy. (He was also yellow and my friend called him pee boy)
