hello there, traveller! welcome to - yet another - screencap redraw! hope you’re not *too* tired of these yet?? well, we’re still having fun, anyways :D i think we’ve learned a LOT from studying these screencaps and practicing likenesses so consistently. if that’s something you’d like to get better at, i’d definitely suggest finding a show/movie you love as much as we love x files (tho…is that ever really gonna happen? /hj) and drawing characters from there ! :D anywaysss, here are my notes from this particular foray :0 1 (aka 10) - the finished product! pretty proud of it, particuarly i think his likeness turned out quite well :D 2 - this is the reference! didn’t choose one that would be too easy…haha yeahhh their expressions were a bit of a challenge, and they’re still not exactly right, but oh well. i wanted to draw this shot because of the rim lighting! (also, blanket folds??? yes please??) 3 - my sketch! i realized i didn’t actually have multiple skeches in this piece, merely multiple stages of the same sketch. you can see the larger pencil lines are from my original sketch, and then i erased and added more detail in certain parts 4 - lineart! quite pleased with this, i ended up opening her eye all the way just because i couldn’t figure out how to make it look like she was looking down, with her eyelashes covering her eye, versus having her eyes all the way closed. hopefully i’ll figure that out someday! (probably through an x files screencap…they do this a lot) his hair was fun teehee :D 5 - colors! not much to say here :P 6 - shading! pretty dark… not sure i’m the happiest with the use of such a soft brush, but oh well 7 - more of that soft brush >< looks better - and much like the reference - with the light tho, so not too upset 8 - more detailed light! this definitely adds to the piece, i’m very happy i ended up doing two layers of light shading 9 - background! i had a lot of fun drawing the curtains :0 10 (aka 1) - final product!! which means, of course, ✨ texture brushes ✨ i particularly like the bit of light hitting her hair in the back :”D so, there’s that! tell me what you think :O happy thanksgiving everyone <33 - - - music: to build a home by the cinematic orchestra art: moi - - -
