"why!?!?" yume slams her head onto the keyboard. she's clearly mad at herself, but- "JUST WHY?!?!?!?" yes, that's the question, thanks past yume. "how did i let that deadline slip by? AGAIN?!?!?" she let out a long sigh. "it's the third session in a row, and i was so keen on entering this time..." "okay, yume, we get it," yes, i hear you. without further ado, welcome to yet another project! since, as you know, i missed yet another mbcc deadline, and raged over it for about half an hour, i had the motivation to make a mbcce anyways. it's past the deadline, sure, but i'll make it happen. "what's more, the theme was fairy tales... my cabin... it would have been so perfect..." for a long time, i've been thinking back on those 15 votes i got on my horribly ugly march 2021 mbcc entry. everything i made on canva back then looked mostly the same. hey, in past yume's defence, i was a canva beginner at that time. but still, looking back at it, it could have been so much more. that's why, i decided to recreate it! i tried to keep most of the elements from the original intact, and refrained from adding too many new details. if you look closely, the patch from the original is still existent, but now as a border. i kept the same heading font but changed virtual to slopes. the mermaid is the same as well. a clear difference is that the new one got a glow-up, with added glitter and the background blurred. the background image looked like someone had set the clarity to 100, and somehow, two years ago, i did not mind it at all. after all that, do you think i've improved? i definitely think so myself ^^ link to original: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/498493547/ (i straight up just stole the costume from that project cause i was too lazy to download it again on my new computer) "alright, that's there," said yume, as she clicked the 'share' button on her remake, "now i've got to make the one for this year," she reminded herself, well aware that the voting phase has already started. this time, she's very sure she'll finish. with the help of motivational mangoes and encouraging swc-ers, procrastination can say goodbye.
