-Prologue- "Come in my darlings, it's story time!" An elderly and frail tan and brown tabby declared gently. She had small spectacles and wore a faded night gown, spotted with pastel tulips and daisies. Little kittens tumbled into the living room with a large fireplace, cackling with warm, welcoming flames. Excited mews of murmuring could be heard among the kits. "Oh, grandmother! Please tell the tale of Mariebell the Messenger!" Exclaimed one of the kittens, a grey marbled tabby. She stared up at the elderly cat with large, begging crystal blue eyes. Her other siblings bobbled their heads in agreement. "But Elizabeth, I just told you the story last night!" said the tan tabby in surprise. "Please, please, please grandmother!" Pleaded the kittens in their striped pajamas, all different colors of the rainbow. The grey tabby cat sighed and gave in, "Alright, alright! Mariebell the Messenger it is!" She coughed a few times to get her old lungs ready, and loudly began in a voice that seemed to submerge the living room. -End of prologue-
