Description

because why not? soo yeah got a new calligraphy pen/marker/thing that works way better than my finicky fountain pen. (plus less hassle!) the last three (father, vines, and the dawn of time) are done in a non-calligraphy 0.5 mm pen/marker/thing. i'm not into lord of the rings at all... not >u< 4 of the images contain quenya elvish, an alphabet made by j. r. r. tolkien. there is a corresponding language but these are written with english words. also my elvish y's are wrong. they're not supposed to have two dots under them in the consonant form. yay adding some descriptions! 1. some of my initial elvish doodles- smeagol/gollom(i know it's supposed to be gollum), frodo, marry, samwise, pippin, bilbo, gandalf, hobbits, lorien, the shire, and middle earth are featured. also there's the alphabet at the top. 2. two sentences: "elvish is fun to write and to read" and "bubbles oh yes oh how i love bubbles". you'd never think it said that, would ya? >w< 3. a dream within a dream- playing around with the thicker calligraphy tip (there are two, one on each side) 4. some more elvish stuff- j. r. r. tolkien, c. s. lewis, the inklings (which is a group of writers that tolkien and lewis were a part of), imagination is key, and once upon a time... 5. calligraphy, in elvish and calligraphy >u< the reason i wrote it twice is because i'm a perfectionist and i wasn't satisfied with the first one. 6. mordor- experimenting with a heavier alphabet, and mordor seemed an appropriate thing to write in it. 7. bubbles- bubbles seemed the least appropriate thing to write in it. 8. father- for my father. (go figure.) experimenting with the lombardic alphabet. (it's my favorite ^w^) 9. vines- the lombardic alphabet inspired me to make this >u< this was my second time using it- the first time i wrote my name and of course i couldn't share that. 10. the dawn of time- the only truly finished piece here. also in the lombardic alphabet.
