So, I made a little something! With the help of NovelAI, I decided to make a bit of a, well, novel to rewrite the story of the Dragon Ball franchise! So, let us begin! On a far away planet known as Planet Vegeta, two sayians, Bardock and Gine, prepare to send their son to a far off planet named Earth. Bardock, wanting to save something in his life for once, sends off his son, Kakarot, to this planet. Thus, Kakarot's, who we know as Goku, journey begins.. Kakarot lands on top of Mount Paozu, and is discovered by a couple of mountain bandits, who bring him back to their hideout. They attempt to sell Kakarot off, but they are stopped by Gine, who has followed her son to Earth. Bardock, now sensing Gine is safe, decides he must find a way to destroy Frieza. He enlists the help of a seer, who uses scrying to help Bardock see the future. Gine and her son, Kakarot, make a life in the mountains. Gine teaches Kakarot how to hunt and fish, while he explores the surrounding area. The King and his court wizard, Dodoria, sense a disturbance in the air. They realize that someone is trying to change the future, and so Dodoria attempts to scry and locate the seer, Bardock, and the rest of his family. Bardock learns what the future holds, and it isn't good. For some reason, Frieza is hesitating on whether to destroy Planet Vegeta or not. He has already destroyed another planet, and has made a promise with the Cold family, that if he destroys Vegeta, they will grant him an even more powerful transformation. Gine is getting tired of living in the mountains, and she feels it is time to go out into the world. She packs up her and Kakarot's things, and begins the journey to the nearest town. She and Kakarot travel through a forest, and they run into a pack of wolves. Gine and Kakarot kill most of the wolves, but the alpha female manages to escape. Gine and Kakarot keep moving, and soon arrive at a small village. The villagers are suspicious of them, but eventually welcome them in. Gine and Kakarot buy a house, and begin setting up a new life for themselves. Meanwhile, Frieza finally decides to destroy Planet Vegeta. Zarbon goes to confront and interrogate Bardock. Frieza, wanting a fun fight, attacks Planet Vegeta along with the rest of the Frieza force. Meanwhile, Zarbon continues to interrogate Bardock. "What do you know about the future? I know you sent off you're child and you're wife, where are they?" Bardock, not wanting to give away too much, replies with: "I sent them away because I sensed danger." Zarbon, growing impatient, punches Bardock in the gut. On earth, Gine is working on a farm, while Kakarot is out hunting. Back on Planet Vegeta, Frieza is still looking for a good fight. Suddenly, Dodoria shows up, and informs Frieza of Bardock's visions. "How.. interesting. Bring the low class sayian to me." In the interrogation room, Bardock finally spits out the location of His Wife and Child. He says to himself: "I'm sorry, Gine, Kakarot.." Meanwhile, Frieza stomps on the head of the dead King Vegeta (Continued in Notes and Credits.)
"Well, that was fun." "My lord, there is one remaining Sayian left. Shall we go after him?" "Hmmm... no, I think not. He will come to me, eventually." The Sayians had been nearly fully genocided. Meanwhile, Gine is getting stomped on, nearly to death. Then, the sunrise starts, and Kakarot reverts to normal. He looks over to Gine. "M.. Mama?" "Kakarot.. I think.. my time in this world may be.. at end." "Mama, don't say that! You'll be fine!" "Kakarot, you have to move on. Keep fighting on, and avoid the full moon." She coughs up blood. "Bardock will be proud of you, Kakarot.." She passes out, not quite dead, but almost dead. "Mama? MAMA!!" Meanwhile, on Yardrat, Bardock awakes. "Ugh.. where the hell am I?" He looks around, and finds he is not in the pod he was in. He sees he is in a strange planet, with strange people. "H-hello?" One of the Yardratians approaches him. "Ah, you're awake." "Yes.. Where am I?" "You're on the planet Yardrat. We found your pod crash-landed here." "Crash-landed? I.. was on path to another planet." "Yes, this is not that planet." "Thank you, but I must be on my way. I have to find my son, and my wife.." "We understand, we will try to repair your pod. I'll leave you here to heal." Bardock was left alone to think. "What should I do.. My son and wife are on Earth, and the Sayians are gone.. as far as I know." He continues to think to himself. "What.. what if they're already dead? I can't know that, my scouter can't detect power levels from that far away and even if it could, its broken.." He just.. stays there.. waiting. Will Bardock's family ever be reunited?
