I LOVE HER SO FREAKING MUCH THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST DESIGNS I’VE EVER MADE AHSJDKSKSHJFJSKA- Oh my gosh I need to calm down Ok So Meet Perilune, my new sona and new online name! (you can still call me Berri tho I don’t mind) Two days ago, I was looking through @Kingsdee’s most recent art dump, because I really like their designs, and I had been wanting to make a new sona because I didn’t really like Amaryllis as much anymore (more on that later) and so as I looked through the art dump I started writing down things I liked in a design (that’s what those notes on the 3rd picture are if you’re wondering) and started messing around with colors and designs! You can skip this if you want, but here’s a bit of explanation on my design process- I started with color palettes, my first choice was pink, white, and green, but I didn’t go with that right away (big brain move) and tried out yellow, pink and blue! I decided to make them brighter so they’d contrast a bit more. I also tried out a different color palette with more of an orange focus and made a design out of it, but I didn’t want to use it as a sona- might use it in a DTA or OTA later though! After testing out some ideas, I went straight into the design colors and patterns without making a sketch first (Another big brain move, will use this technique for designs from now on) Imagine if I made a character with all the traits I wrote down, that would be pure insanity o_o Oh, and if you’re wondering why I named her Perilune, I heard someone say it in a YouTube video and thought it was cool, and I looked it up and it meant something along the lines of ‘close to the moon’!! It was perfect with all the stars and space theming, so I kept it :D One more thing, I will make an anthro version and an actual ref of her soon, I just really wanted to post this now :3 Alright, about Amaryllis- I like her design, but for some reason, she’s just not that fun to draw? The thing is, I wanted a fursona with a mix of cute and cool (which I think Perilune embodies perfectly hehe) but Amaryllis was all cute, and I don’t think she represented me completely, along with the fact that she wasn’t fun to draw kinda sucked. So for now on, Amaryllis is just an OC! :) Credits Everything by me
