I saw some Scratchers trying to make the smallest project about a year or two ago. I decided to give it a try. Trick 1: Make a new project and remove the default sprite. The sprite takes up bytes. Trick 2: Make the project and backdrop named nothing. Trick 3: Make the backdrop 0x0 by switching between vector and bitmap.
