Instructions

This is a Binary to Base 10 Converter. If you click the zeros it will turn into one (don't worry about clicking on the text there is a box surrounding it). At the top it will show the binary in base 10. It only goes up to 255. Have fun! Look below if you don't know what binary is. (Note: You can press the numbers without clicking the green flag, so don't forget to click it or it will not convert. Our human number system is called Base 10. In binary, it's the exact same thing except it is Base 2. That's why there is only two numbers, 0 and 1. The place value system works like 10, 100, 1,000 and continues forever. The binary system (I don't know what its called really, binaural system? Let's stick to binary system today) has a system like 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, and continues forever (by multiplying by 2 each place value). Basically the number you see you have created is read like this. 16 8 4 2 1 0 1 0 1 1 The top column is the place value, the bottom is the standard form in binary. The places where you see one are counted by its above value like the one above which is 8 + 2 + 1 = 11. So 01011 is actually 11. In base ten, it is like this. 1000 100 10 1 5 2 8 0 (5000 + 200 + 80 + 0 = 5280) Liked how I used the amount of feet in a mile? Anyway, I hoped you understood binary. Now have fun!
