Instructions

Press the green flag to start the project. It is not necessary, but encouraged, that you press it twice. After the introduction is over, and you are given choices for your style, click on the one you want. An explanation of what each of them are and how to use them is below. Traditional: This style is very simple. Simply click the category that you want, read the text, then press the back button to go back to the menu. Classical Fun (Sorry for the random name that doesn't make any sense): Use the right and left arrow keys to control the mouse animal, and the mouse pointer (the one in the project, not your actual pointer) will follow the mouse animal. When the pointer is below the category that you want to read, press space. The pointer will fly up, and "click" the category of your choice. Platform: In this one, when prompted, choose a character. Use the arrow keys to navigate. If you touch one of the categories, you will get to see its text. If you get to the pink text that says "more categories", you will go to the next level, where there will be different categories. Hit the left edge to go back a level and see that level's categories. In any of these modes, please do read the information! It may help you on your Scratch journey! ____________________________________________________________ Press m to mute the music. If you have any suggestions for this guide, please do post them! Or, if you have a question, you can also ask here! I'd love to help you out!

Description

If you have a question, you are encouraged to ask me either on my profile (@ItchyCatIII ), or in the comments of this project! I would love to answer any questions! Helpful links: Scratch Wiki - Kind of like Wikipedia, except it is made for Scratch. It has many informative articles about everything you need to know about Scratch! It is at https://en.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/Scratch_Wiki_Home . Scratch Forums - In the forums, there are so many places that you can ask for different things! See all the topics (and maybe even respond to people who are looking for some things) at https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/ . Credits: Are you looking for a moderator of the website to talk to? To see all of the names of the members of the Scratch Team, see https://scratch.mit.edu/info/credits . Feel free to ask on one of their profiles! However, if you find inappropriate content, please don't report it there - use the report button instead. Contact Us: Need to get in touch with the people who run this site privately? Send them an email at https://scratch.mit.edu/contact-us/ Community Guidelines: Want to learn how to act in the community? See https://scratch.mit.edu/community_guidelines/ for the rules of Scratch! Scratch Jr: Are you under eight years old, and interested in a simpler programming language for tablets and Ipads? See https://www.scratchjr.org/ to get Scratch Jr.! Offline Editor: Want to use Scratch offline? See https://scratch.mit.edu/scratch2download/ to get it! FAQ: Need some answers to frequently asked questions? See https://scratch.mit.edu/info/faq/ ! Help: Need help? See the Scratch Help page at https://scratch.mit.edu/help/ ! If you like this project, then please click on the "star" and/or the "heart" button on the project, located right below the viewer on the right side (that is totally optional, though). Also, if you would like, you can follow me by clicking on @ItchyCatIII (that link) and pressing the follow button on my profile (again, that is optional). And please feel free to visit the links above for anything you may need! You can feel free to click on the "see inside" button. From there, you can modify the script, and click on the "remix" button. This will give you your own project (that will be linked to this one, but still yours), with whatever scripts you modified. So feel free to add your own features, and remix this! However, please give credit. In order to give credit, just type in the "Notes and Credits" the username of the creator, and thank him/her for the original project. See the credit section below for examples on how to give credit. ____________________________________________________________ Credits: Thanks to thriftyfun.com for the cat picture, which I have used so many times in all of my projects, and as my icon! Thanks to @coke11 for one of the songs. The other song is Lightning Bugs. The pointer when it isn't touching the cats is from psu.edu (The Pennsylvania State University Website). The other costume for the mouse-pointer is from multticlique.com.br. All other media is either by me, from the Scratch Library, or a user that credit is given to below, and all of this was edited with the Scratch Editor. The word art was created on cooltext.com Thanks to @xVanyx for the backgrounds! Thanks to @Nice_Flame and @CrazyNimbus for their amazing feedback, and @funnyplanet for reporting a glitch to me. Those all helped to give New Scratchers the best welcome possible! And, last but not least, thanks to you for reading!
