This took away my sanity- I ended up not being able to finish the whole thing, but i'll post it anyway. I didn't do a lot of art pieces because of this AMV, I hope it's still worth it- I'm a little bit late but as you said in the studio, its ok! I did this project entirely using scratch editor, which was honestly a big challenge for me, I love how it turned out though! honestly, IM SO PROUD OF ME TO DO WHAT I WAS ABLE TO AHHHGH <33 I separated the song in 10 parts, I was able to fully finish 5 of them, and sketch out 3 more, so if the animation randomly changes, it's because it's the sketch I had planned for that part Characters featured: . Corwin (He/him) - designed by @-cafecat- . Scarlet (He/she/they) - designed by @lavenderbee- . Fleur (They/she) - designed by @Lagonish . Pryor (He/it) - doesn't really have a design since its just a dog/cat with one eye lol #animation #amv #meme #dta #animations #art (TW for violence/death) Simplified story: -------------------------------------------------------== Corwin is a Mailman and a journalist, he lives in a place where the government controls everything, and since he writes his own newspapers, the government always has to review it and check for any oppositions. But that doesn't stop him secretly delivering the unreviewed papers to his trusted clients. A loyal dog and a worker, but he keeps a secret, ever since he met a dog called Scarlet, a conspiracy theorist, they've been exchanging letters, with the plan to overthrow the terrible and controlling government that they live under. One day, one of corwin's crow helpers was captured by the government, and it was carrying one of Scarlet's letters, revealing their entire plan to their very own enemy. Corwin and Scarlet would have to be judged for their crimes of opposing their higher-ups and challenging their power. They were able to get away with it, for now. But Scarlet wouldn't give up just yet, he would rather continue being a criminal over letting these people control her. As a response, the government ordered a random dog to go after them and kill Scarlet. Scarlet, startled by the attack, revided and killed the stranger instead. Coincidentally Fleur, the dog who was hired to attack Scarlet, was one of Corwin's loyal costumers and waited patientelly for his newspapers every week infront of their door. And trusted Corwin and his crows deeply with his letters. Corwin arrived at Fleur's home, in a completely regular day, but she was not waiting for him, sitting infront of the door, she was missing. Worried, Corwin opened the door and looked around the house for his friend and costumer. Until he saw her dead body laying on the ground, next to a piece of a broken bone or antler of some kind. Panicking, Corwin started to theorise what happened to Fleur, had they challenged the government like he and Scarlet, or maybe someone else did it? His partner opens the door, looking tired, Corwin didn't notice her at first, but when he did, the first thing he noted was a missing piece of one of his antlers. Scarlet killed Fleur! They were probably nothing but a backstabber and a murderer to Corwin, and it would end up in a fight. The government, who had already found Fleur's body, silently followed Scarlet to Corwin's house, hoping to end these traitors once and for all. Realizing all the noise they made had attracted their enemies towards them, Corwin and Scarlet escape their house through a window, and run away as fast as possible, but Pryor, the first in power, was quicker, and would soon reach the two dogs as they approach the great wall, one that marks the border between a prision and freedom at last. Reaching the wall, there was nowhere left to run, Scarlet and Corwin acknowledged that climbing the wall to reach the other side would likely get them killed, but they would rather take the risk for the small chance of being free at last. Corwin climbs the wall, carefully with each leap. But Scarlet stayed behind, distracting their enemies so that Corwin could reach the top. One of Corwin's three remaining pet crows flew down to Scarlet, letting them know that Corwin had reached his goal, and now Scarlet had to climb to him. The crow distracted Pryor, who, while Scarlet leaped onto the wall and fled her enemies, grabbed the bird with his cruel paws, and killed it by piercing his claws into it's body. Scarlet quickly fled and arrived at where Corwin was waiting, on top of the wall between tiranny and liberty. While Pryor stared up at them, enranged, the two looked back at him teasingly, and jumped down towards the other side. Running away together, both forgiving eachother for their crimes, Corwin and Scarlet would finally reach a place where they could be free toguether.
