Save Michael's Girlfriend from King Big Ludgy. Use the Arrow Keys to move. Use the Up Arrow Key to climb up a ladder Use Space to jump In addition to the goal of saving Coraliz, the player has a score. Points are awarded for the following: leaping over obstacles; destroying objects with a hammer power-up; collecting items such as hats, parasols, and envelopes; removing rivets from platforms; and completing each stage according to a steadily decreasing time bonus counter. The player starts with a number of lives with a bonus life awarded at saving Coraliz. A life is lost when Michael touches King Big Ludgy or any enemy object, falls too far, or lets the time bonus counter reach zero. The game ends when all lives are lost.
