here's how i made these sprites: on picrew, there is a molcar maker, which lets you make your own pui pui molcar character. naturally, this gave me an idea. i traced the template, and made slightly improved versions of some of my molcar sprites, including my OC, apple. row 1: potato, shiromo, and apple row 2: teddy, choco, and abbey row 3: peter and rose
credits: shin-ei animation, tomoki misato, hana ono, japan green hearts, uchupeople(the same people who also did the music video segments in pop team epic), etc. i might improve more of my molcar sprites with this new method if i have the energy to do so. also, the molcars are often mistaken for hamster cars, but according to multiple sources, they're guinea pig cars. in fact, an actual guinea pig appeared in the season 1 episode "time molcar".
