Instructions

Turn on Turbo Mode and click the start button! Adjust the AUs from star distance to create a more sustainable enviroment for the planet. This helps us see if our closest star system is capable of supporting life such as ours!

Description

This project depicts the Trinary star system Alpha Centauri (A star system with three stars orbiting around each other). Located around 4.3 Light years away, it is the closest star system to ours. The two orange dots are two stars within the system (The third being irrelevant based on its mass and distance from the other two). The blue dot represents a planet. This program shows if a planet is capable of orbiting within the star system. If so, there is a high likely hood that this star system could contain life. When the orbit line of the planet is blue, that means it is colder than the conditions we have on earth. Green represents the Goldilox zone (Habitable Zone) which is also the zone that Earth lies relative to the Sun. Red represents a planet temperature that is to warm to support life, such as mercury or venus. I would like to give credits to myself, and my dad. We partnered up on this and made a bomb ass orbital simulator. Thanks for checking it out.
