Instructions

Experiment with orbit rates to make patterns you like. The yellow circle is the pen. Try turbo mode with the default orbit settings (makes a cat eye pattern) "H" hides all circles. "S" shows circles. Or click a circle to hide just that one.

Description

Each circle orbits a larger one, like a triple spirograph. Some patterns seem fractal, similar across scales. Smallest circle is the pen that draws. See what patterns you can create. Set all 3 rates equal yields a circle. But 3 differing oddball rates create wild patterns. It's called hypotroichoid, a kind of cyclocyloid. Orbit 1 rate is for the 2nd largest, blue, circling purple. Orbit 2 rate is for green circling blue. Orbit 3 rate is for smallest, yellow circling green See my earlier versions. One much more complex code. The other is simplest of all but pen is rough.
