Instructions

10 years or older don't read unless your 10 or older About ten minutes later, they had changed the sheets and Allan was still trying to find the best position to sleep in. Bernard smiled. “Claire, would you give us a minute please? Tell your mother I’ll be there shortly.” Claire nodded, leaving the room in a hurry. Once the door shut. Bernard walked over to Allan and knelt in front of him. “If you’re trying to be subtle, you're failing at it.” Allan smirked. “Who said I was trying to be subtle?” Bernard laughed a hearty laugh, and gave Allan a light punch on the shoulder. “Mom said okay.” Allan jumped. Benard stood up, and walked towards the door. “WEll good night kids. Don’t stay up too late.” He smirked. “DAD!” Claire flushed and started to try to push him out the door. “You do know I’m four times your size, right? There is no way you’re moving me.” he laughed. “I don’t care! Just go!” Bernard laughed all the way out the door. “Good night, Allan.” Allan waved. “Night.” Claire slammed the door and locked it. Claire slumped against the door. “You good?” Claire nodded. “Yeah. I’m…” She pointed towards the bathroom. “I’m gonna go take a bath.” Allan nodded. ‘Alright. Oh before you go…” Allan pointed to the remote. “Can you give me that?” Claire chuckled and gave it to him. Allan held the remote. “Clare stood in front of him. “Well, Are you going to turn it on?” Allan blushed and looked down. “No…” Claire yanked the remote from his hand and turned it on, giggling the whole time.”H-hey give that back!” Claire howled in laughter and gave him back the remote. “Here.” She left the room still laughing. Once he heard the bathroom door shut, he turned the tv back off. Allan sat there, the only sound was the bath water running. Allan stared at his bandaged feet. Well done making yourself look like a fool. Allan groaned. “What do you want?” Nothing. I just wanted to tell you something important. Allan looked out the window. “What?” The voice grew silent. “Hello?” Allan whispered. A time comes when silence is betrayal, Allan. Allan froze. “Betrayal?” The voice grew silent. Allan frowned and stared at the moon. “Betrayal. . . “

Description

Allan had turned it on some horror movie. Claire opened the bathroom door, just in time for something to jump at the tv screen. “AH!” Allan flinched and switched the channel back to cartoons. “Sorry!” Claire straightened her shift back out. “It’s fine.” She whispered. She walked towards the tv and adjusted it so whee she would be able to see it better. She backed up, and slipped on some of the water from her hair. “Ah!” Allan flicked out his leg, kicking the wheelchair so where it was right behind her. Claire landed right in the chair, and it rolled backwards. “How many times am I going to have to do that?” Claire stood up quickly and brushed the hair in front of her face. “Funny.” Allan frowned. “What?” Claire climbed into the hospital bed and sat on the edge. “Allan…” Allan turned the tv off. “What’s up?” Claire sat there, swinging her legs, back and forth. She fiddled with her fingers. Allan sat up. And poked her knee. Claire jumped. “Are you still there?” Claire smiled and looked down. “Yeah. I’m going to… uhh… go to sleep now. Okay?” Allan leaned back. “Alright.” Claire sat there for a few minutes, then leaped off the bed and hugged Allan. Allan winced. “Hey!” Claire started to cry. She held him tightly. Allan reached around her and hugged her back. “Okay….” Claire let go of him awkwardly. And then climbed back into the bed. Allan was frozen. “What was that?” he asked. Claire didn’t answer. She just laid down and shut her eyes. Allan blinked slowly. “Okay…” Allan shifted and faced towards her. “Good night Claire.” He heard a faint “mhm.” Allan flickered his eyes, and saw the moon one last time… The next morning. . . Allan woke up, and squinted. “I guess we forgot to shut the windows…” He said, flipping over. Claire groaned, and sat up. “Come on, ya big lazy. Big day today.” Allan sighed and turned his head. “What do you mean?” Claire stretched and yawned. “My dad called your parents, and I called Wade, Damian, and Armi. They all are coming this morning. Allan rolled his eyes. “Great. . . “
