Chapter 1 Minnowkit woke from the prod of a paw. "Wha..." he mumbled, squinting as he tried to recognize where he was. "Oh, right." he thought, remembering that him, his littermate, and some of his clanmates were kicked out. He groaned as he got to his paws and turned his head to see who had awoken him. It was Snowkit, his sister. "It's time to go." she mewed. He grunted as he felt his paws come off the ground. His father had picked him up. "It's time to go.", his father Graywing said. His exiled clanmate, Rowannose, waved a tail for them to come over with the others. Graywing promptly pawed over there, limping in every step. "How's your wound, Graywing?" their medicine cat, Marshpelt meowed. "It's fine, thanks for asking." Graywing purred. As they walked down the path, Minnowkit began to wonder why FireClan exiled him and half the clan. "Why me?" he wondered. As he was thinking the clan came to a stop. They were out of clan territory. "Do you think we should start another clan here, Tealstar? MintFur suggested. "Maybe." the she-cat, BrambleStar meowed. "Let's set up base then", Bluefur, the deputy, mewed. Graywing put Minnowkit down, turned to him, and said, "You stay right here." GrayWing bounded away.
