Hello once again my ever increasing mass of writhing souls, and welcome to the 928492993th coloring contest, this time hosted by your very own local fish. Because making normal, comprehensible contests is for losers, this, of course, has a slight twist to it. - Table of Contents - I - Summary/Instructions II - Rules III - Questions/Real Due Date - Summary - So, since you're probably a <12 year old child who's in this for the very very cool and awesome prizes from only the best artist in the universe (im gaslighting myself), I'm going to break this down properly for you and myself so we can get through this without so much as a hitch. In this CC, you will not be coloring a scene or trying to make the prettiest art with preset lineart. Instead, you have been given a color pallet and linework to color. In this CC, you will color the design, but ONLY with the pallet given to you. Why? Well, the pallet given to you is colorpicked from the original colored design, and your goal in this CC is to color it as close to the original image as you can. When the due date passes, I will compare all the entries to the original image, and the entry that's closest wins. You will be given only one hint to the design's coloration, which is the name of the design (black moon). Beware, not every stripe and crescent is in the lineart, so you will have to guess the patterning to get closer to the original. tldr; color the design and whoever colors it the closest to the original wins - Rules - -Do not ask for more hints. If this CC proves too difficult, there will be hints in the next, but this is the first public draft, and henceforth we'll be starting at the bottom. -Please don't add colors not on the pallet— the pallet already has every color supplied in the original, and henceforth adding more will simply complicate the design and pull you away from the original. -Do not edit the linework. -This will close on Nov 22, 12pm EST. There will not be any extensions for the purpose of coloring something taking like, 10 minutes. If you win the design and happen to not want it, you may trade it out for a custom instead, and the design will go to the second closest (and so on). - Common Questions - Why are there two versions of the linework? | The first version is made how I typically do lineart, and may be hard to colour on scratch. I recommend using this one if you plan to colour it on another program. The second version is scratch-favourable so that you may colour it on-platform. When does this close? | November 22, 12pm EST. There will be no extensions. Do I get any hints? | As stated, there are no hints other than the pallet and the design's name, which is Black Moon. Will I get to see the original design when the contest's results come out? | Yes. Can I use the lineart for things other than this CC? | No. However, if this does well, I may make coloring pages for all the coloring book enjoyers out there.
