Chapter 1 starts with Nora waking up in her house, with Queen Heart sleeping on her dog bed. A cutscene starts where Nora looks at her hand, and sees a mysterious glowing symbol. She looks at Queen Heart, to see the same symbol appear on her head. The cutscene ends, and you are given a quest to go see the village magician and ask her what it is. When you arrive, a cutscene starts where she tells you about the prophecy, and that the crown has been stolen. She also says that the same symbol appeared on her daughter Malina's arm. Malina joins the party, and you set off into the forest with her and Queen Heart. You meet Amala in a forest hut just outside the village, and she joins the party. In the forest, Amber comes out to warn you about a monster nearby. You notice the symbol on her, and she joins the party and helps you fight the monster. After you defeat the monster, there's a cutscene where it tells you where to find the final boss of that chapter. You find the final boss and defeat him. As the chapter ends, you find the ruins of a castle. This castle will function a bit like Castle Town from Deltarune. You can talk to party members of the previous chapters there. Amber, Amala, and Malina decide to stay there to prepare for the fight against the person who stole the crown. You and Heart continue to Chapter 2.
