Welcome bats, rats, and diplomats! Despite being on this account for well over two years and completing 60+ MAP parts, I’ve never hosted a MAP myself. So here it is! In honor of reaching 500+ followers, I present to you; Angel Eyes. Rules table of contents: ♣ Part Content ♣Coding ♣Conduct ♣Thumbnail ♣Entering ♣Forms and additional notes ♣ Part Content: 1) It is highly encouraged that you make your part a bit grungy and lean into the earthy colors of the pallet! 2) Because the completed MAP will be posted on YT, I’m putting no limits on gore or themes. As long as you’re putting the proper warnings on your project and still following the guidelines, I don’t care what you do. :) 3) Please do not add lyrics in your part. As much as I admire the ability to make smooth vector lyric video styled animations, captions will be provided in the final project and if you add them I may ask you to remove them. 4) Be sure to follow the pallet, this will help to make the project more harmonious. 5) If you choose to make a part that is not fully colored, I ask that you add at least a few colored frames. I get that animation takes a long time, so for bigger movements you can switch to lineart if you so please. 6) Feel free to involve fandoms, OCs, or draw inspiration from life. It is encouraged that you do not animate Warrior Cats or similar alternatives, however if you do so I won’t stop you. 7) Feel free to do AMV or PMV 8) If you animate in the backgrounds I’m going to have a stroke please don’t do that it makes putting the final product together very difficult. 8) Look inside of the project for the codeword, it will change several times throughout the hosting of this MAP. ♣ Coding: 1) As mentioned before, DO NOT code/animate in your backgrounds. It’s asked that you put your backgrounds into a sprite if possible, and do not touch the background section of the project at all. 2) Cloning effects can make a project lag a lot, so just be careful with how much you’re doing with them. 3) Try to keep your number of frames somewhat limited. If there are more than 50 it’s probably going to crash my device :’) (there is no official limit) ♣Conduct: 1) If you choose to insult or demean a fellow artist, you may get kicked from the project depending on the context and intent. 2) If you happen to be a user who is openly racist, homophobic, ableist, transphobic, anti-Semitic, or discriminatory in any other way you will be blacklisted. 3) Cases of harassment towards your fellow artists or towards specific demographics will get you blacklisted and reported. 4) Inappropriate comments, messages, and content will get you reported and potentially blacklisted. 5) These rules may apply to users who choose to do these things on separate websites. 6) A person may be given one warning, however if they continue their rude behavior they will be kicked out of the MAP and potentially face the consequences listed above. ♣Thumbnails: 1) You don’t need to ask in order to enter for a thumbnail. :) 2) Thumbnails must follow the pallet. 3) Please note that I may not pick any of the contestant’s thumbnails, and may either make one of my own or have one commissioned. 4) Whether your thumbnail is used or not, it will be featured in the end credits! So it’s a guaranteed way to get involved with the final product. 5) Must include “Angel Eyes,” “Completed MAP,” and any other text you may see fit. :) ♣Entering: 1) You are allowed to have 1-3 parts, depending on their length (the average length is 5 seconds, and there are several 2.5 second parts). 2) I encourage you to read the rules, especially those on coding and content. This is a way to be sure that you won’t have to worry about redoing anything. 3) Certain parts will be marked as “hold.” This means that you are allowed to enter for them, but you should be prepared to wait several days for results. 4) This MAP is not first come first serve! 5) If you are not accepted, I either won’t reply or will turn you away with a polite “no” or suggestion for another part if the one you want has been taken. 6) Be sure to fill out the form! ♣FORM♣ Username//How you want to be credited on YT//Parts of choice//2+ Art or Animation examples//Your plans for your part(s)//Codeword//Additional questions or information You will have two weeks to finish your part, and extensions will be available.
