I drew this in Krita, for the book The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tokien. Context: I had this annotation project thing where I had to read and mark through a book. I picked The Hobbit. I had the option of extra credit by making art about the book, so I decided to make this! I also needed a description, which is in Notes and Credits.
I tried playing with a gold and red palette here, and I think it looks nice. The O in "Hobbit" is Bilbo's ring, fading away to show the invisibility it bestows upon its wearer. The blade is Bilbo's dagger that he uses to save Thorin's company from the spiders. I used the gold and red and old look to attempt to show the exquisiteness of this timeless classic.
