Minilla apears in the showa era of Godzilla, so his young disign makes sence, because showa godzilla looks similar, so minilla is actually a baby version of showa godzilla. although, in godzilla final wars, it's minilla but ugler, and he dosn't look like final wars godzilla there, but i think it's just because the creator's of godzilla, toho, are just being mean to that one character. poor minilla :( and his body just looks like a baby's body, so if your saying it looks like a potato, then your technacly saying a baby (human to be spacific) looks like a potato, knowing back then it was a guy in a suit and godzilla's (especially this era) are basically humanoid lizards with fire breath and are very big.
