-----Welcome to the Evolvus OS Signups/Trailer!----- For this competition, we are doing something much more different than the others. Instead of focusing on complexity and intricateness, we are honing more on the UX factor. This time, we're making a practical OS that users will want to use in their free time rather than making an OS just to show off our skill in coding and UI design. (also excuse the kind of strangely blurred/cut-out text in the project) This means that there will be no need for a timer, calculator, or drawing app in our OS. After all, timer apps, online calculators, and paint apps are already there for that purpose. Everyone already knows that no one uses these Scratch OS design projects for a real purpose other than to applaud their effort and skill. This OS, however, will be completely original compared to the other ones in the market. We will be creating an aural sound mixer of relaxing effects along with a playlist selection of soothing classical music to help users sleep and study well. We'll also be trying to keep the OS minimalistic so that users won't be overwhelmed by so many things to do and apps to choose from. On top of that, we're also getting rid of the creepy ambience UI that other OSs love to use and instead embracing a warmer and cozier vibe that will attrach user to stay on our project for longer periods of time. There will be many other amazing and innovative features coming along the way to our OS, so be sure to stay tuned for Evolvus OS updates! -----
This trailer also works as a sign-up project as well! There will be only 5 members of our team, as I'm sure that will be all we need if we choose the right people for the job. If having 5 members proves to be to difficult of a task, I might consider inviting more to work on our OS. To apply, you may state your experience in the role you want to apply in and some projects that display your skill, but if you would like to include something more, feel free to do so. We will need (but not limited to): 2 Coders 2 UI Designers (this includes the design of logos and applications since I'm not set on using this current logo rn) 1 UX Designer (this includes working with sound design as well) (these roles may be switched around from time to time to cover more aspects of the OS) 1 OS Tester (not officially part of the team, will review and judge the OS once it is finished) I will serve as the single lead UX Designer as of now, but the may change in the near future. Keep in mind that getting a spot in this OS project will not be easy. Evolvus OS is not for the inexperienced and your application will have to stand out for me to consider you into our team.
