This is an edited (more advanced) prologue.
It all started with the invention of the helmet. It was a revolutionary piece of technology that allowed the wearer to multi task two things at once, quickly becoming a must-have device for anyone looking to increase their productivity. At first, the helmet was a great success, and its users found themselves able to accomplish more in half the time. However, none of them realized that the technology was vulnerable to hackers. One day, a hacker was able to break into the system and take control of the helmets. He took advantage of the multi-tasking capabilities to spread a virus across the world, turning the entire planet into a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The virus spread quickly, and soon the entire world was in chaos. The virus had a devastating effect on the population, killing millions and leaving the survivors hopeless, and to fend for themselves The hacker responsible for the destruction was never found, but the damage was done.
