Instructions

The history of the Falstaffen Imperial Air Corps began in 1865, when the Imperial Balloon Observation Garrison was formed. It was equipped with seven gas balloons and saw minor service in several wars against revolting nobility-controlled states. However, by 1876, the garrison was totally disbanded due to a lack of funding and several accidents. The next iteration was the short-lived 266th Glider Infantry Regiment, which used crude wood and fabric hand-tossed gliders fitted with explosive charges. The idea was that the soldiers would throw the airplanes over the walls of forts and towns, which would then glide in and detonate. The plan was too ineffective in tests, and standard artillery was deemed more effective. By 1921, a hastily-organized Imperial Army Aerial Battalion had been formed, with a total of seventeen various airplanes, gliders, dirigibles and balloons. In 1925, the unit broke off from the Army and became the Imperial Air Corps. Purpose-built modern aircraft slowly replaced the aging types in service. In 1934, the biplane attack aircraft in service were deemed obsolete, and a new aircraft was necessary to replace it. Martini, a relatively new aircraft company, built a simple airframe, the Model 15, which in turn led to the XA-4 prototype. By 1935, 25 A-4 production models were in service with the Air Corps. Additionally, three T-1 Sophomore trainer variants are also operated. The Navy, also, purchased 4 bombers, called SBM Ospreys, and 2 trainers, called TMs. Martini also built prototype aircraft based on the airframe: the XP-4 high-altitude fighter, and the XUC-1 utility transport. Neither were ever produced. NOTE: Made mostly of wood, with some metal components. Two seater, rear seat can be fitted with a machine gun.
