Ok prepare yourself, because I have a HUGE story- I want this guy so bad lol so, enjoy! (Art and story by me) ———————————— Annie climbed up the ladder behind her friends. “Ok.” Ruby sighed, sitting near a wooden cube in the middle of the circle of friends. Candles were placed around the circle in a random order, giving the attic a strange otherworldly feeling. “Annie.” Ruby suddenly said, making Annie jump. Ruby narrowed her eyes at Annie. “Sit in front of the cube.” She ordered, pointing her fingers roughly at a space near the cube. “Uh, ok.” Annie mumbled. Wait, why me?! She thought frantically. “You shall be the first!” Ruby announced. “First…what?” Annie asked. “To uh, summon demons!” She answered with a laugh. Oh yes, this was their big plan for the sleepover. Annie was new to town and this group of girls had invited her to sit with the, at lunch. And now they invited her to a sleepover to- summon demons? “Oh-what-what do I do?” She stammered. The other girls giggled. “Just place your hand over this cube.” Hm, seems easy enough. Annie lifted her hand over the cube and it clicked open into a flat formation. Her eyes widened. “How’d it do that?!” She yelped. Ruby ignored her and continued. “So, to summon the demon you have to offer it something mental, like your soul or memories.” Annie stared at her. “Really? My soul?” She said disbelieving. “YES!” Ruby yelled, “I read all about it on the wiki ok!!” Her eyes squinted shut and her face went red. “Ok, ok!” Annie sighed. Ruby cleared her throat. “SO- think of your childhood memories, since no one cared about those.” She announced. Annie rolled her eyes and closed them. She focused and she began to think of her childhood memories. Annie drew in a sudden short breath as she felt as if so,thing had grabbed them. A hiss rang in her ears and she opened her eyes in fear. “I heard-“ she stopped. She wasn’t in the attic. Annie stood in a white room, it was plain besides one ladder on the wall that led up to the small door, and these strange small holes lined across the walls. She spun around to see a figure standing there, looking confused. It suddenly looked relived when it saw Annie, and Annie knew, she just knew, these were her childhood memories.
(Story continued!) It opened its mouth to say something, but the floor suddenly cracked open. It yelped as it began to fall. Annie leapt forward and caught its hand in hers. The side of the room it was standing on had now opened up and her side had stayed the same, making a sort of cliff. “It’s ok! I’ve got you-“ a sound of something turning blasted from the walls and suddenly lava came pouring out from the holes on the walls. Annie screeched, she tried to pull her memories up, but she couldn’t. The lava started spreading and Annie struggled to hold onto her memories. “It’s ok,” It said, “you can let me go- quick! Escape!” Annie was speechless. She looked down at her memories, it was smiling. “I-I” Annie squeezed her eyes shut and with a shuddering breath, let it go. The memories fell down and disappeared into darkness. Annie ran across the floor, jumping over the lava onto the ladder with a bang! She climbed up as the lava began to rise. She shoved the trap door open, closing her eyes as she reached the other side to shield her eyes from a blinding light. Annie opened her eyes. She gasped in Horror, confusion and shock. She was back in the Attic. Her friends were gone, and something was in the center of the cube Annie thought it was a black ball first, but as she looked closer, she noticed it was some sort of creature curled up in a ball. She leaned over to see better, but it’s head popped up. “Agh!” Annie yelped in surprise. It turned its head all the way around like an owl to blink its one huge white eye at her. It sat up and twisted its body around so it was also facing her. It looks somewhat like a cat, except it was fully black like a 3-D shadow, and its ears extremely tall. And its tail, weirdly enough, seemed to be a cord with a plug at the end. Scribbled across its body in white were random, childish things. Like knots and crosses, math and random words. “WHAT IN THE WORLD?!” Annie screeched. The creature didn’t react. “Is there something on my face?” The creature spoke. It stood still for a moment, then burst out laughing as if it couldn’t hold a straight face. “Oh, I am just HILARIOUS!” It cried. It lept up and brought its face right up close to Annie's. “Hello! I am a demon! Yes! I am made from YOUR memories! So we are IN-SEPARABLE!” It screeched. Annie was speechless. “Where-where are my friends?” She chocked out. “Those idiots who don’t even care about you?” The demon rolled its one eye and tapped the cube. It snapped back up and the demon passed it to Annie. “The wiki was just lies! LIES! Your ‘friends’ were just using you to summon me- you see this box needs to trap people in it to set me free- buuut your friends thought you would be sucked in there. NOPE!” It flung its arm out. “Now they’re stuck in there! HA!” It rolled to the ground laughing. Annie looked at the cube. Now each side was no longer blank, each one had a silhouette sketched on it in dark brown, each one a different one of her friends. “You mean, they didn’t actually…like me?” Annie trailed off. “Yep!” The demon laughed even harder. “Hey- don’t be sad! You have ME now! And we’ll be together FOREVER! BESTIES! Just you and me!” The demon began leaping around the room cheering.
