-----------------------------Story-------------------------------------------- The time had come for a final battle against the shadows. The dark creatures had been raiding the land for moons. Hazel, a wolf, knew that though she was a healer, she had to fight, even if she died fighting for her home. "At least then I would be with Starry Sky..." she whispered to herself. Starry Sky was the legendary warrior who had died to forgive everything that anyone had done wrong. He would saved everyone who believed that they needed to be saved. Hazel was awakened from her thoughts as she heard her mate, Moss calling for her. "Hazel, it's time." he said sadly, "Vitani said to meet at the rocks by the sea. That's where she said the shadows would have their next raid." Vitani was a lioness, and Hazel's best friend. She was great in battle, and could defeat any shadow. "We better get going then." said Hazel, "The rocks aren't too far away, but it will take at least half a day to get there." They said goodbye to And so they started walking. The two wolves journeyed through the fields and forests that were their home, until they could hear the crash of waves against rocks. Vitani, Aster the falcon, Lorna the tiger, their mates, Dren, Alfie, and Glenn, were there waiting for them. "This place is the only one that hasn't been raided. From what we know about shadows, this is the place to be to attack them. Hazel, will you stay awake and guard?" "Of course. At the first sign of shadows, I will tap the rock wit my claws three times." Hazel answered. "Good. Now, Aster, when I give the word, go get the many warriors camping in the fields." "I will fly as fast as I can, Vitani." said Aster. "Now, we can sleep; we need to be rested for the battle." The eight animals laid down on top of the rock. Hazel watched as they drifted asleep. She waited for the shadows until the moon was at its highest point in the sky. Exactly then, a part of the moon disappeared. Was it an eclipse? "No... That's no eclipse..." Hazel whispered. She remembered the prophecy. "At the Great Eclipse, a shadowy force that has been hidden for a thousand years will be unleashed. Every animal will fight, for darkness or light. Light will outshine darkness, once again light will rule over darkness. Three will give the last howl, who were born as three and will die as one." This was the prophecy. What appeared to be an eclipse was really hundreds of shadows, darkening out the moon. The wolf tapped her paw three times on the rock. Vitani immediately woke up and shook everyone else from their sleep. "Aster, go, go now. Get the troops! The Shadow King is among them! Everyone else, get ready for BATTLE!" Vitani ordered. Hazel readied herself to pounce into battle. The multitudes of shadows rushed down from the sky, as a huge cloud of darkness. They were so close now, you could make out individual shadow animals. There were dark lions, wispy wolves, and dark birds. "ATTACK!!" Vitani roared when the shadows were close enough to pounce on. Hazel immediately leapt onto a shadow wolf. Somehow, the black face looked... familiar. She nearly leaped back in surprise, but stopped herself. It was her old enemy Farn! The shadow looked almost as surprised as Hazel was. Hazel decided to use that moment to strike. She swiped at Farn's face. As soon as she she was hit, Farn recovered quickly. She ran as fast as she could away from Hazel. The red wolf followed her. They soon caught up to each other at a river, just far enough away from the battle for the cries of war to be quieter. Farn got an evil grin on her face. "Hazel... I've lead you into a trap! Get ready to die!" Hazel through herself at the dark wolf. "It's you who will die!" They fought fiercely, clawing and pouncing at each other. The clash kept on for two hours, until Farn had Hazel pinned down so close to the river that anyone would have fallen in and be swept away by the current. Hazel's chance of winning was very low. If she lost at this battle the shadows would kill her. At that moment, a fire seemed to burn in Hazel's heart. She pushed Farn off her with an unusual strength. Now it was Hazel pinning Farn down, not the shadow. When Hazel looked down, she saw that her paws were glowing with a green fire. The flames washed over Farn, and she started to fade. "No creature will ever be hurt by you again, Farn!" Hazel howled. And it was true, the wolf that was Farn was nearly completely faded. The only thing left of her was a little wisp of darkness. It shriveled into nothing. Farn was dead. Hazel then realized that it was pouring down rain. The river had risen to her paws. The current took her and carried her away. The wolf could not fight it. It hurled her into a rock. That was when everything went black. Part two below⬇︎

Moss, and her two kits, were there waiting for her. "Moss, are the shadows defeated?" she asked weakly. "Don't wast your strength talking. But yes, we defeated them." Moss replied, "The healers are coming. You will be fine." "Moss, don't you remember the prophecy? Now is my time." Hazel told him, "Now remember..." "Hazel! No!" Moss cried! "Remember, now is the time to be loyal. Remember that always..." she fell back. Hazel had died. Her spirit rose. She was soon met by two other animals, Vitani and Lorna, her two best friends. "The prophecy... It said three who were born as three would die as one. It meant us!" Hazel exclaimed. "You're right!" Lorna whispered. They leaned against each other.
