In 1830, France and the Kingdom of Algiers go to war due to rising tensions. France wins this war but in this timeline, Algiers does not surrender after the capture of the capital. Instead, they fight back the colonizers until victory. With losing morale in France, the unsuccessful blitz of Algiers and the encirclement of French troops prompts France to withdraw from the nation.
