hello, hello, and welcome to another screencap redraw & process! this one is a shot from the early seasons which I enjoyed for the expression on Mulder’s face (lol) and the background! (i’m not sure what episode this is from specifically…) anyways, onto the process! 1 | finished drawing 2 | rough sketch — i used a big brush and figured out the vague poses and such. 3 | refined sketch~ I did more details on their faces and clothes ^^ 4 | color + lineart… pretty self-explanatory. I decided to go with colored lineart this time ^^ the biggest change i made was to tilt her head more 5 | shading! just used a multiply layer and scribbled around, as one does. for light shading I used add and a light blue color. this is has some of the simplest shading i ever do, but I like the way it looks a lot 6 | background (& foreground)—i know this is a lot to add all at once so i’ll break it down a bit in the next few slides. 7 | (i’m not doing this for the foreground, but i followed the same process for that part.) i sketched out the background to begin. 8 | then I filled in with color (mostly ignoring the chunks behind m&s for efficiency)—trying to be as neat as possible but without worrying too much about the way it looked since I was going to blur it anyways) 9 | then I shaded everything ^^ 10 | next in my process was adding textures + blurring the background. I think this step added some nice detail to their hair :) 11 | i added my watermark and some overlay layers to alter the color a bit ~ 12 | the end! credits | art - ours music - you are in love by taylor swift zoom-in code - @colorsnatch
