I’ve been redesigning him for like two months now ☠️ (although school gets in the way so). I also re-did the previous redesign because I didn’t like it anymore (which you can find here https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/877386291 ) I hope to get a ref out before 2023 ends, but no promises. One of the things that I wanted to do with his redesign is to make him more cat-like. I don’t think I succeeded, but his stripes are supposed to look like a marbled/classic tabby cat’s stripes. I also wanted him to be more desaturated but then he became more saturated lol. He also got, like, more muscular or something?? He has more prominent muscles now I guess. I also may change this design a bit (like making the stripes on his wings smaller, lessening the gray-white color on areas of “non-interest” such as the tail, and deciding if his eyes should be red-orange, red-yellow, or red-orange-yellow). Also cat granite (I clearly don’t know how to draw a cat) Most of these drawings are really self-explanatory, so I’m not going to talk about most of them. I’ll talk about the weirder ones, though. The Darkstalker thing is because, throughout the entirety of the process of redesigning him, I thought he looked liked someone’s Darkstalker (from Wings of Fire) design, so I was joking about that. I guess the actual Darkstalker design on there is mine (I would probably redo it a bit, but I’m not really in the WoF fandom anymore so I don’t really care about that). Also, his eyes look really similar to someone else’s Oc, but I can’t exactly remember whose it was (I think it was Merkosaur’s Oc on YouTube??), so I may change them a bit like I mentioned before. I just added the red and orange bc I thought his eyes needed more ( also they were just yellow before and Burrito had the same colored eyes, so I wanted Granite’s to look different). The emo thing is because I think his redesign looks kind of edgy. The human version of him basically has emo hair anyways so . . . emo boy Granite real. On the topic of human Granite, he didn’t really get a redesign. His colors and clothes may be changing, but, otherwise, he’s staying the same. Then again, who draws human Granite anyways hahaha…haha.. (my sketchbook is filled with him fr fr). Honestly, I just want to draw people better because I don’t want to be stuck drawing only reptiles/animals. Also, I don’t even see why my characters should be reptiles in the first place since they have such a human-like society. All school doodles have censored text as I don’t want people looking at them. Also yeah that one drawing with the red lighting looks like crap i know Thoughts and feedback on the design are welcome.
