The original game (an extension of the original "Rock Paper Scissors") was invented by a software engineer called Sam Kass in 1998. It was then also shown on "The Big Bang Theory". The rules are: Scissors cuts paper, paper covers rock, rock crushes lizard, lizard poisons Spock, Spock smashes scissors, scissors defeats (I had to change it due to the bad word detector) lizard, lizard eats paper, paper disproves Spock, Spock vaporises rock, and, as it always has, rock crushes scissors.
