Easy there, kid.” Allan sat up straight. “Wha-?” He stood up and inspected the entire room. “What happened to the boy that was here?” he asked, running to the bathroom. Berard frowned. “Boy?” Allan nodded frantically. “Yeah! There was a boy in the bathroom, and. . .” Bernard stared at him. “There hasn’t been a boy in this house since thirty years ago, Allan.” Allan shook his head in disbelif. “No! There was a boy in the bathroom, and a large man! He stabbed me! How am I-?” Bernard stared at him with concern. “Allan-” Allan punched the bathroom door. “No! There was a boy-” “ALLAN.” Allan spun around and stared at Bernard. Allan could tell that Bernard was frustrated. Bernard ran his hand through his hair. “Please, stop. You’ll wake Claire and Elizabeth.” Allan blinked. “Wake Claire and who?” Bernard chuckled. “Oh. I guess she never told you her name. Claire’s mother.” Allan felt the tension in him start to release. “Oh. wait. . . Why are they asleep?” Bernard laughed. I asked the same thing myself. They said that they always take a nap around midday these times. Allan chuckled. “Ah. I guess it’s something that girls just do huh?” Bernard smiled. “I guess so. I‘m never here. I only get holidays off, and sometimes not even then.” Allan frowned. “Hard work being a doctor, huh?” Bernard sighed. “Yes. . . Yes, it is.” Allan sighed and glared at the bathroom door.
