Poorly-written backstory...
Audio: Depths of a Submergred Cave (Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon) ___________________________________________ Manuel used to be a regular jellyfish. But then he was brought into a creepy laboratory by some crazy human who wanted to "prove that aliens are real" by changing the jelly's appearance. When the experiment was a success, many tourists came to stare at Manuel and take pictures of him. He wasn't able to speak, so he couldn't tell them to stop, but even if he could, he feared that the scientist that changed Manuel's form for fame might hurt him as a punishment for defending himself. One day, at night, he was visited by "The Source of all evil", which promised him freedom and strength. Manuel accepted, and so he was brought the strange lifeform's realm. He was then told that Dusky is a cruel tyrant that captured their people with mind-control, and that Manuel has to help free them. It was very convincing, considering how "suspiciously friendly" she was towards her creations, especially the mortals, at the time.
