It was an early morning in the mountainous regions of the Alpine Bird's territory, and Pine, a member of the Alpine Birds, was enjoying her breakfast as her chick rolled onto her, still sleeping. Pine smiled and put little Snow back into her nest, though it wasn’t guaranteed that she would stay there. “Mmmm!” Pine said as she finished her breakfast, “Come on, Snow, wake up for breakfast!” Snow woke up with a start, bouncing excitedly around, chirping madly. Snow was only two years old, and would need lots of care until she was four. “Come, Snow, let’s go to the prey storage,” she told Snow, tapping her with one wing. Pine and Snow went out of their den and started down the main tunnel to the prey storage. They were almost there when a door popped open in front of them. “Hello!” their neighbor, Ice, greeted them, “Off to the prey storage, are you?” said Ice, who was five years older than Snow. “Yep!” answered Pine. Sometimes, Ice could be a little too excited, so Pine said goodbye and went into the prey storage.
