Description

a draft <3 [!! Btw this is an incomplete scene and just a draft/basic idea for a scene that likely won’t be drawn out for a LONG time] -- “Hi.” Analynn greeted her father as she opened the door and sat down. He nodded in greeting, his forehead creased as he frowned and replied, starting up the car, “How was your day?” Wincing at the throbbing in the back of her head, Analynn forced a tired smile and said, “It was good. We practiced a few new songs my friend, Ace, wrote up last weekend, but I couldn’t give my full effort because my headache was so bad.” Her father’s eyes were on the road as he asked, “Do you have a lot of homework? If not, you should take a nap.” “Yeah, no - I have a ton of homework.” Analynn sighed, leaning against the head of the seat and thinking of all of the assignments she had to complete. Pursing his lips, her father said, “You’ve been very busy ever since you joined this...band. Will you have time to finish your schoolwork?” Analynn watched the clouds go by through the window. After a moment, she turned back to reply. “Yeah. I should. But I don’t want to quit ABC, Dad. It’s…actually really fun.” She found herself smiling at the thought of Faith, Embry, Cooper, and Ace and all the time they’ve spent together over the school year. When she had originally agreed to join ABC after Ace and the others had practically begged her to join after the whole…situation with Callie, as well as to save their band that had brought her friends so many happy memories, Analynn hadn’t thought much of it. Now, she had become closer with the gang, making music, covering songs, and just hanging out, Analynn had felt almost…whole. Almost like before. She felt happy, something she hadn’t realized she’d been numb to after Joelle’s accident. Her dad scoffed. “I would hope so. After all, you’re skipping math and dance class today because of your headache.” The words shattered her happy memories as her father’s tone of voice seeped through her happiness. Smile instantly fading, Analynn’s eyes dropped to the side view mirror, at her reflection.
