What to do before you play Press 3 Move 1 step (at least) 21/09/23 UPDATE: Added Tails. You can switch between characters by pressing "3". just realised i forgot to add sound effects when tails flies,,, will add tomorrw. This update affects the "Hitbox" and "Anim" sprites. ########################################### 19/09/23 UPDATE: Fixed issue where sonic doesn't go up ramps. ■ Fixed Sonic CD camera sometimes facing the wrong way. ■ Modified mobile controls for when sonic is not moving. Down and Up get "stuck" down when pressed, and get released when pressed again, allowing people to spindash/peelout on mobile. This update affects the "Hitbox", and "Input/Touch" sprites. Theres a bunch of other collision related stuff i gotta fix, but ill add some new features first. ########################################### 14/09/23 UPDATE: Fixed issue with rolling down slopes. ■ Added some Sound Effects. ■ Added more inputs for jumping. (JKL) ■ Added smooth rotation option. ■ Made the Sonic CD spindash take less time to charge. ■ You can press "2" to hide/show all the debug stuff/options. (idea definitely not stolen from neonscratchers remix :) ) ■ Other minor and more boring changes relating to fixing collision. This update affects the "Hitbox", and "Input/Touch" sprites, with minor changes to the "Anim" sprite. ########################################### Very early Sonic engine, my submission for GSE-Fest 2023. Most of the code is mine, based off of the Sonic Physics Guide. This took way longer than it should have. You don't need to ask me to be able to use this. This project should run decently in scratch, but i'll put the turbowarp link here anyway: turbowarp.org/432762752 Controls are WASD/arrows, ZXC/JKL to jump ################# Features ################## This Demo Contains: - Spindash (Regular and CD) - Super-Peelout - Drop Dash Will be adding more in the future, after i fix some bugs. ############# Variables and Notes ############# "physicsStyle" doesn't change much, only minor things that are different between the games. 1 to 3 is self explanatory, 4 is Sonic CD. (this won't change much btw) "toggleSpindash" is a little similar. 0 disables the spindash. 1 enables it. 2 enables the Sonic CD spindash. There's toggles for all of the other moves inside the project if you want to disable them press "1" to enable debug mode like movement. space warps you to the loopb. (used for testing but i'm not removing it) Drop Dash sprites by me, feel free to use. wahoo
