Entry 2: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/901430953/ It's been my (almost) 4 month dream to win a larger DTA, y'know, one with a large competition, that kind of thing? Well, it would be an honor to win a design from the last DTA collection (?), Jester and Plushie's designs really spoke to me, so I'm going all out on this one! No motivation? Never heard of him! But seriously, I plan on doing fully rendered art, animations, and maybe even a mini game, but mostly the former things. Anyways, let's get on to the art! For now, there's only one piece, but I do plan on adding more over the month. The fully coloured piece was the last traditional piece finished, but the rest are in order from the order I finished them. Just thought it would be better for the coloured pieces to be together*. 1: Jester bust. I'm actually proud of the lighting on this one! (Time taken: Around 50 minutes, sheesh.) 2: Another Jester bust, this time traditionally! This took me around 2 hours to make, the blending took forever to get right. My original idea was to do a stop motion animation meme, but I decided on a drawing instead. 3: Jasper fullbody! Very much a practice piece, turned out rather cute! 4: Jasper half body! My first favourite of the traditional bunch. Also, he has T-Rex arms!!! 5: Once again, a goofy Jasper fullbody! He looks sleepy in this one, which wasn’t intentional. 6: A unique form of art, this time a headshot. My second favourite of the traditional bunch. Not really much to say other than it looks cool lol. 7: WIP of a realism piece I did! The head took either 1 hour or 2 hours, and the ear socks (?) took either 30 minutes or an hour. Character Info: Jasper is a very happy, excited young Dracobun (Rabbit bearded dragon hybrid) who lives and works with his sister, Max, in a small yet comfy circus with their dad. While Jasper may seem always happy, a big part of his character is dealing with his more negative emotions, as he presents more happy than he actually is so people won't always seem confused or worried, as that's something he DOES NOT want to deal with. On the surface that may seem like the average, "Happy dude is actually sad :(" trope/character trait (???), though Jasper is more of a complex character that's not just him trying to be joyful, that emotion thing plays a big part of his mental problems. Main Story/Backsotry: Jasper (Or Jester, as the DTA called 'em), works with his sister at a circus (no, the sister doesn't have a name yet, I'm terrible at names, so we'll just call her Max for now for grammar's sake), where they're known as the "Terribly Talented Twins" (y'know cause they're twins?), or sometimes "Double Trouble", but the former the most widely used. Anyways, Jasper and his sister are very talented (that's why their duo name has "talented" in it), so one day, some kind of rich guy pops up and asks their dad if Jasper and Max could be apart of his agency. Obviously, their dad is skeptical, as some random dude they've literally never met before wants them apart of his agency seemingly so suddenly, though he asks Jasper and Max if that's what they even wanted to do, as deciding for them wouldn't be fair even if he's skeptical. While Jasper declines, Max seems very interested in the subject and says she'll think about it. A week passes and Max, Jasper, and their dad don't know if the agent guy is still interested; that is until, suddenly, he knocks on their door and has someone else with him. This person was his son, (Who'll I'll call Jonah for now) who seemed to recognize Max based on his expression (According to Jasper, at least). The kid seemed rather sad, likely because he didn't want to be there in the first place, maybe his dad insisted on him being there. Anyways, Jonah's dad spoke with Max about the whole agency thing, and asked if she'd like to come over to see the members of the agency, along with people of choice. Max thought about it for a minute, and agreed, only if she could bring her family instead of strangers, witch Jonah's Dad agreed to (After slight convincing from Jasper).
