Let the story begin. ___________________________________________________ A large broad Tom leaped onto the Overgrown Rock gazing at the cats below. His attention flickered to a beautiful she-cat with a white kit. The she-cat cried as she searched her den for the other kits. The Tom leaped down frantically. “Rainfur! What in the name of Clan of Flowing River happened!” The Tom mewed. “Oh FallStar… I saw our kits’ bodies on the ground and I thought they weren’t ours… but…” Rainfur paused to sniffle. FallStar widened his leaf-coloured eyes. He opened his mouth but hesitated to speak. He looked around the camp for anyone acting suspicious. Until… he saw his brother. “Oh AppleFall! Have you seen anyone acting suspicious?” He asked, anxiously. AppleFall hid a paw stained with fresh blood. FallStar sniffed the air and scented blood but he ignored it. “Of course not my brother.” FallStar caught a glimpse of a stained paw. “Y-…N-no! No!” He yowled before pinning AppleFall to the ground. “You murderer! You traitor!” He cried. “I wouldn’t have done it if you hadn’t of mated with Rainfur.” AppleFall confessed. “I got jealous and scared that she’d start to see me as nothing so I did this.” FallStar took a moment to consider what he did. “I understand you won’t trust me..” “AppleFall as my brother I expect you to be better. This is the last time I’ll let you go. As it’s what our first kin and leader’d do.” FallStar said, sounding like a wise elder. Rainfur stood from a distance and mewed to her kit, “My dear Winterkit, remember that you can never trust the apples.”
