I literally love this boy :0 I’m working on a memix currently so I’ll be posting that soon- Also I just realised that I drew normal cat ears instead of mouse-like ears- I fixed that in the animation meme though. ————————————————————————— Given name: Zanim (Polish for ‘before’) Chosen name: Toksyna (Polish for ‘toxin’) Nicknames: Sparky, Toxii, Flash (by those who met them after their transition), Zane, Nim (by those who knew them before their transition), Pronouns: Any, but prefers they/them Personality: A little awkward, terrible at recognizing social cues, hopeless romantic, quirky, likes to do art, shy often, very defensive and protective, their mind is a very dark place Sexuality: Pansexual Features: Tail has a heavy electric charge, the green parts leak toxic slime when they feel distressed or threatened. This doesn’t harm them if it drips on them, but it can and will melt through any other substance it touches. Backstory: (might turn this into a short comic, but I’ve got lots of stuff to work on first) Toksyna used to be called Zanim. They were normal before. Well, not exactly normal, because they had been born with bat wings, but that wasn’t too unusual in their mountain village. Strange pairings of wings with a body of a different animal were common there, as were unusual colours- take Zane’s sister Geiger, for example. But one day, when Zanim was hunting in a new cave system they hadn’t been down before, they saw a strange green glow. Something told them to find what was causing it. When they followed the eerie light, they found a glimmering gem, seeming like it had been cut and polished, though it was really in the raw. It was standing on what looked like it used to be a stalagmite, but had been sliced through. Entranced, Zanim’s paw stretched out to it, seemingly of its own accord. When their pad brushed the surface of the gem, a tingling started, which turned into pain. Gasping, they pulled back, only for the gem to stick to them. The pain gradually grew, and they stumbled into the back of the cave, where they lay down and eventually went into a shock-induced paralysis for several days. When they woke, they noticed that the gem was now around their neck, hanging from a leather string. Sitting up, they moved to one of the puddles in the cave and, closing their eyes, lapped at the water, soothing the burn in their throat. They sat up, and when they looked into the puddle, they let out a shocked cry. Instead of their nice, normal brown eyes, there were two pupilless lime green orbs in the middle of their face. One had a grey ‘x’ on it. They had also grown another set of wings, right up near their face. They seemed to hover in the air next to them. This wasn’t too bad, as many of the animals in the village had unusual colours, though Zanim was still shocked at the change in their appearance. Backing away from their reflection and lifting their tail in the air, they froze. Their tail was now the same green as their new wings, and shaped like a lightning bolt. This would be the thing that got them shunned. Hurrying back to the village, they opened the door to the house they shared with their sister, Geiger. When she saw him, her jaw dropped in shock. “Z- Zane?” She asked. “It’s me,” they choked out. She backed away, an unsettled expression on her face. “Lotos won’t like this,” she whispered. Zanim froze, a shocked expression on their face. “Would you tell her?” they asked. Geiger just looked away. A betrayed expression on their face, Zanim turned around. “I’ll have to leave,” they said, not looking back. “You can come with me, but don’t bother if you were really going to tell Lotos. If anyone asks, say that I went missing when I went to hunt.” -> To be continued… (probably in some sort of comic, if i win)
