CHRGD was a children's entertainment brand owned by Jupiter Entertainment. The brand was for a slate of action/adventure-related programming blocks and television channels. CHRGD programming mainly originated from the Quaban Entertainment library, airing live-action and animated series with some original programming. CHRGD was first launched as a programming block in the United States on OCBN Family and Toon WinflameVision on June 24, 2005, to compete with Cartoon Network's Toonami block, and in Europe in August 2005. By the end of 2005, CHRGD began completely replacing the international WOX Kids channels around the world, the first being the French version in February 2007, and the last one being the German version, in October 2007. Although it was commercially successful, the CHRGD brand was later discontinued in September-December 2012. All international channels were rebranded as either WX (Winflame Xtreme) or WinflameVision due to Jupiter Entertainment's focus on its "Jupiter," "OCBN," and "OCBN Sports" brands. After the shutdown of the last CHRGD channel in Russia (replaced with Winflame Network Russia) on August 10, 2013, and with the shutdown of CHRGD Play in the Middle East on September 1, 2013 (which was replaced with Winflame Junior) the CHRGD brand officially ceased usage.
