you might or might not have noticed that i havent posted in a while this is because ive been in the hospital where i live its the first week of the holidays ive spent like 4 days in the hospital- great start to the holidays, right? i was in the hospital bc my parents noticed some symptoms of diabetes in me (other family members too) and they were going to get me tested at the doctors. but bc they noticed i was acting really weak and sick they brang me to the hospital the hospital did tests and stuff they tested my blood a lot and on the first night woke me every hour so i didnt get really good sleep im back at home so my sleep is a bit better i think anyways they came and said i had type 1 diabetes which is where the pancreas in your body doesnt produce enough of this thing called "insulin" so my body cant break down sugar properly, therefore before i eat a meal we need to inject the insulin into my body and then wait 15 minutes to eat. so i basically cant eat any sugar / have to eat a minimum amount of sugar and we have to measure out the amount of carbohydrates in every meal i eat because of the amount of insulin put into my body. basically i have limited things to eat but i guess its okay bc i can still eat my main food. im already feeling physically better but emotionally this is wrecking me and im really sad. my parents are getting diabetes education and my diabetes educator is really nice but im sick about having to talk about it and this is sad too bc now i cant really go to sleepovers until we get a grip on this. but atleast im home now and dont have to keep eating pasta at the hospital bc i had pasta like 3 times in a row. im not emotionally great rn but im getting better and ill probably be fine if so many people can deal with it then i probably can and should stop rambling like its the end of the world i just hope i get used to it quick enough so many stuff to keep track of i dont really have anything else to say so yeah lol my cat really missed me xd
