HIGHLY SUGGEST TO CLICK FLAG TWICE FOR TIMING TO BE (MOSTLY) ACCURATE ------------------------ Khalil reunites with a long lost friend. ------------------------ Yes, I'm aware this is similar to SCRACO65's 5 year anniversary. I didn't even realize this till I started drawing the picture frame. Sorry. :P ------------------------ A short animation dedicated to my friend and popular scratcher, @OttoTV. If you don't know the context, and also need credits, look at the story below. ------------------------ TLDR of the story: Me meet Bicky, Bicky nice, Bicky disappear, Me sad, Me forget, Bicky returns to Me, Bicky and Me talk, Bicky now Otto, the end. If you say I'm not giving enough context...read the full story, you dummy. Song: Pompeii (I know it's a meme but I find it really fitting) So basically in May of 2019, back when I was 9 and still a cringe scratcher, I randomly met this guy named @BickyTV, because it's ALWAYS TV. God can scratchers come up with more original names...anyways, I don't know how we met, perhaps I commented on his “animations”...er, slideshows is more appropriate, but all I remember is at some point we became friends. Bicky at the time was still inexperienced, like me, and I even helped him as I improved. We both had around 200 followers and everything felt well rounded. Then Bicky disappeared. Around October 2019, he just vanished. His last ever project was an outro contest. No explanation, he’s just gone. I didn’t even fully realize this til I was like 10, I had legitimately forgotten about him. It’s actually kinda sad when I say it out loud. But unfortunately, that’s the cycle of growing up: you forget and move on. And even if you move on, that person will always stick with you. Another example I can think of was @NaomiPinkFlower, who actually was the first person who commented on my profile. We were good friends, and then like Bicky, she just disappeared. And she didn’t come back. Her account…got deleted. *sniff*...No, you’re crying! The only thing I heard about how he disappeared was that he was banned. But why? I never found out... Wait, pause, I did find out about a week ago. Basically he created one too many accounts, with tons of forgotten accounts, extra accounts, and even a social experiment one named @ScadoodleTV, I guess Scratch worried about him abusing these accounts in some way, and he was permanently IP banned. However, a year ago, when he checked, he was no longer banned, presumably because his IP changed. (Please Scratch, don't ban him again, I'm pretty sure he's learned his lesson). Anyways, resuming, as I said, I never saw Bicky again... And then someone with the letter B as their PFP replied to a passing remark I made on Bicky's profile. I said I was stabbed with nostalgia, and he replied…”It hurts, doesn’t it?” If you couldn’t guess, that was Bicky. HE’D RETURNED! Nearly 3 years later. I didn’t realize this OTTO-matically and that lead to this conversation which is pretty funny, considering my naiveness: https://scratch.mit.edu/users/BickyTV/#comments-226794652 But then he (and another account that was also Bicky) said “Long time no see” on my profile, which led to a comment chain that nearly took over my comments. That was both disorderly but humorous, which is why that sentence is the namesake of this. Now, it appears those accounts have been deleted, presumably because those accounts didn’t lift off. He then created OttoTV, because it’s ALWAYS TV. God can scratchers come up with more original na- I'm kidding. (Mostly) I didn’t immediately follow him even though I knew he was Bicky, but later I did and we had this short conversation about the ham dungeon and my inactivity. https://scratch.mit.edu/users/OttoTV/#comments-271045987 Not going to lie I was overwhelmed (and envious) that he had over 1000 followers and only 3 projects, meanwhile I’ve been working on larger projects and I’m still stuck at around 550, especially considering only a few years ago we were around the same status. But I’m not that jealous as of now, I’m grateful Bicky has come this far, and I’m happy I’m still friends with him. In fact, I'm kinda glad I'm the laggard. I understand how many messages he gets…I still have flashbacks to Scratch School…wait it was only 16 days ago Just today, he officially has had the OttoTV account for a year, and I made this short animation to dedicate the nostalgia from 2019 to 2023. From naive children to hard working teenagers, it really is amazing. Even if he doesn't animate anymore, I hope you improve on the way, with whatever you're passionate about. And if you do decide to animate again, don't worry- it may be hard, but you can still improve over time. Um...I'm not good at ending these things. Potatoes? - 97Scratch, 2023 t
