ALSO HI APOTHELIA I LOVE UR CHARACTER WHAT ----- OKAY i feel like i drew official character art from like a character banner game reveal or smthn i saw the pose of the og dtiys and was like hMmm lets give this a shot SOME THINGS I WANT TO MENTION THO IS HOW THE COLORS WERE SHIFTED SLIGHTLy, like the blue being teal-ish and the yellow being more of an orange-red, which is a stylization choice for most BUT I HOPE IT DOESNT CHANGE TOO MUCH NEVERTHELESS AUGH i had the smoothest experience rendering the hair which is a RARE moment for me, i always genuinly have hand cramps and anxiety attacks for no reason when rendering hair which is a new thing im experiencing. :U BUT THIS WAS GREAT, GENUINLY GREAT wish i rendered their crystal legs better but oh well ----- gonna have a small while to rant about colors bcus oh boy did i learn stuff IVE BEEN DOING THIS TECHNIQUE FOR A WHILE BUT this technique is picking the colors for the base colors as if these were going to be the highlight colors. another thing i learned is making the hues for shadows the opposite of the base colors what i mean by that is how if you look at her shorts, it almost looks completely grey, which should technically not fit with the colorful theme of the piece, but I DID ADD subsurface scattering, which is the saturated tinges of colors on the edges of the shadows the color of the shadow is also on the green side, which in terms of color palletes, WORKS. idk idk ONCE I GET A PROPER MIC ill try doing art vlogs more often heehee -----
