⚠ WARNING: corpses, again REMIX DIFFICULTY: MEDIUM- multiple still images, multiple wiggle animations I actually hate this song so much but I wanted to do a trend for once and be trendy and I thought it would be quick but it took ages and what do I have now? an animation meme, a delay of two months for my identities meme, and this stupid bloody earworm I swear I hear 'em ay em ay bee oh why mama's boy mama's boy' in my nightmares Anyway, Blue Sector lore I don't mean to be 'oh, Ocean's tragic *backstory*', this whole...thing... was originally just a way to justify the fact that Ocean and Snowdrop look nothing alike (Finn looks more related to either of them than they do to each other), as well as justify the fact that Ocean rejects his family's fascist ideology before meeting the Midnight Star, and I've just been extrapolating based on what the most likely consequences could be. So, Manta and Stonefish were the rulers of the Blue Sector before Snowdrop. They were originally in love, but as time went on they began to be mean, vindictive and, frankly, catty towards each other. DISCLAIMER. Do not feel sorry for them, they are bad, bad people! Anyway, they have a child, Snowdrop, and they're alright for a while, Stonefish starts instilling the good old royal family values (/s) in her. Then, Manta cheats on Stonefish with a guy called Marlin (you haven't seen any of these characters in colour, but I kind of failed on making the parents look like the kids, except for Marlin, who isn't in the meme at all, since he isn't in Ocean's life, really. Fun fact, he is Finn's grandfather), producing Ocean. Stonefish feels betrayed and despised Manta, but takes out his anger on Ocean. Ocean and Snowdrop try to hang out and just be siblings together, but the parents force them to choose sides. As Snowdrop is aware enough to realise, at this point, that Manta has done a Bad Thing, Stonefish easily drives a wedge between her and her mother, and Manta keeps Ocean close to her by means of manipulation. Ocean was Manta's special little boy - talented and obedient - and would always make sure to shower him with affection (read: love-bombing, which is a well-recorded manipulation tactic). When he did something wrong or failed to meet her expectations, she was very cruel to him. She also didn't tell Ocean that he wasn't Stonefish's son, so Stonefish's hostility pushed him even closer to Manta. However, he did have a deep desire to be recognised by Stonefish in the same way he recognises Snowdrop as his daughter. The only way Ocean could ever get Stonefish to acknowledge him was when he acted out, so towards Stonefish, he was deliberately insubordinate. When Ocean was about 10, Stonefish finally snapped, and told Ocean the Bad Thing Manta did (I say 'told', but it was a much less diplomatic action than that). Ocean now hated both his parents and rebelled against them whenever he could. He started to fall in with a more leftist crowd and would challenge his parents' ideology whenever he could. He met a young soldier, the same age as him, called Typhoon, who taught him how to swordfight. He developed a rather self-absorbed personality, partially because of Manta coddling him as a child, and partially because nobody else would ever give him the time of day. Anyway, Manta's endgame this whole time was to establish herself as the sole ruler of the Blue Sector, with Ocean as her heir (she generally just didn't like Snowdrop). So one evening, she put poison in Stonefish's dinner. She successfully poisoned Stonefish, but as soon as he realised what was going on, he chucked his knife across the table and stabbed her. They both died that evening. Already-established Blue Sector lore follows. anyway, I will describe what happens in each picture now: 1) Ocean and Snowdrop are trying to do kid things 2) Ocean playing the harp 3) a seahorse friend who Ocean was taught how to ride as a child, I don't have a name for it 4) angry Stonefish 5) angry Manta 6) Blue Sector insignia 7) Violet watching the family strife like 'should I get the popcorn' 8) Ocean and Typhoon sparring 9) the Blue Sector funny orb breaking 10) dead Manta 11) dead Stonefish 12) Snowdrop becoming queen also about the outfit adult Ocean is wearing, I didn't redesign him, that's just his pre-exile attire.
