My feet scrape the ground, rubbing trails through the withered grass. The sky is a bright blue. Or, a sickening dark yellow. Or, a quiet night. The stars, are they just clouds? My feet clink against the hard metal, leaving trails of liquid on the ancient stones. Who is talking to me? Cannot be me. It’s a voice like mine, but it’s not. It echoes through my skull like a rancid memory. It’s cold and suffocating, yet evokes memories of power and sadness. The palm trees sway as I glance toward the windmills, footsteps clacking against the city streets. A voice like none I could remember, yet seared into my mind. Bringing back anger, yet sympathy. I am no ultimate. As I fall to my knees, staring at the deep black liquid covering my shoes. I feel the smoke as the airship rattles. The crystals around me shimmering, as the prison alarms blare. Doomed to damnation, I am no ultimate. I can see someone falling from the stars. Death encroaching yet eyes staring into my soul. The voice tells I am the ultimate. Is it wrong? My skin feels cold. Detached. Numb. As if it’s fading away. Everything covered in a red hue. The final tower chimes, as the foreign memories fade to obscurity. I am no ultimate. No ultimate would fade away as their friends watched on. I can only hear the voice. Telling me I am the ultimate. Everything is a shade of crimson, the floor nothing but vermilion prison. I only see the eyes. Falling from the stars, staring into me. It questions me. Who is me? Am I the ultimate? Is this voice the ultimate? I can’t feel anything anymore. Nothing but fateless tears falling down a face of the so called ultimate. The voice assures me. I am the ultimate. Am I…..
