Music featured: Björk - Play Dead (Instrumental) - Click on the car, use your arrow keys or tap the spacebar to see what BULLONE is offering as their assumed flagship car for the next generation. - "Now introducing the most exhilarating, most exciting, most incredible family saloon you've ever seen," stated Luca Moretti, the spokesperson for BULLONE, at the December 2023 launch event at the Melbourne Motor Show. Contrary to how Moretti described the manufacturer's new car, this 5-door hatchback represents a new age for BULLONE. Their first car, the 'X', especially in comparison to this new model, the 'y' - shows that they were just trying to find their feet in this rapidly changing car world. They were certainly more daring with the design this time - that be a positive or a negative depending on your personal opinion. Realising the brand could succeed (especially in many Asian markets such as China and Taiwan), BULLONE took the opportunity to follow through with their plans for a more interesting design, and put it on a brand new, mostly BULLONE exclusive platform, one which was made with little to no input from the brand they previously worked with for the 'X'. Of course, this all comes at a cost for the buyer, the more expensive the car is to make, the more it will be to buy. That being said, BULLONE has insisted on having what they have described as, 'genuine entry-point lines' - practically meaning their cheapest model stays cheap, an incentive to encourage people into the brand who would otherwise own a smaller, perhaps more affordable vehicle. It significantly lowers the cost for a buyer to get into the brand, and also makes it look very appealing at a glance. The other trim levels are all rather well equipped, with features you'd probably expect in a modern family car. Returning from the 'X', BULLONE has also included the 'blackline.' trim level, a model focused on performance. Though easily comparable to the fast large saloon cars such as the Audi e-tron GT, BULLONE has been quick to state that there will be a vast difference in pricing between the cars (once pricing is announced), insisting things like the smaller MG4 XPOWER or Electri City are a much fairer comparison. Quality and driving dynamics cannot really be fairly assessed yet, as the car is expected to arrive in dealerships by January to February 2024. As soon as the ruthless car-reviewers get their fingers all over the new car, we'll know whether people will buy it or avoid it. Hopes are high after seeing the reasonable success of the 'X', but this is a whole new model... how will it cope? - Previewed exclusively at @JACsteraswellasOlibob 's 2023 Melbourne Motor Show (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/943809634/), the BULLONE y was my drawing for the new year. I try and do a 'new car release' every year - I didn't do it last year because I tried to draw lots of cars on the days counting up to Christmas. I failed, of course, so here was something a little less ambitious, but one I'm much more proud of! The styling is certainly a bit odd, but it is up to you to decide if you like it or not. Let me know what you think! Thanks for looking at all my projects this last year, I've got lots of plans for 2024 - let's see if I get more done then than this year! See you again soon, everyone - have a happy new year.
