I'm gonna try this again. Despite the absolute failure that V1 was, I'm determined to try this again on a new drive (The old one failed), and with that a new set of versions. This time, the dot is blue by default, but by hitting r you can switch between it and the original red. I have a plan to make it work this time, because now I have a little more knowledge on what I'm even doing.
